A tree of takes, not a miracle
Coverage
Coverage is how grown productions avoid the miracle shot. You do not ask the model for the poster. You ask for distances and gestures you can cut. In code you do not ask for the product. You ask for a rite that works, then you dress it, then you sharpen.
In a frame
Wide, medium, insert. Same hour, same clothes, same light. A look away and a look at the work. That is a scene. One heroic portrait is a student still, even at 2k.
In a repo
Pass 1: the rite is usable and ugly. Pass 2: tokens, type, empty states. Pass 3: copy, error, edge. Mixing the three in one wish is how you get onboarding you did not brief.
Why directors skip it
Because the miracle sometimes looks expensive. Coverage looks like work. Dailies then prove the miracle was a different movie. You already knew. You hoped.
